Thank you for the poem.  I needed that.

The food is pretty good, but they have giant portions.  I don't think I've ever cleaned the plate, which worries my companion.  There are 9 sisters in my branch, but it's just me and Sister Helmick for our district.  The language is totally overwhelming.  Sometimes it feels like they expect you to already be fluent.

When I asked what the MTC was like, people would say it's like EFY on steroids.  It is not.  The only similarities between EFY and the MTC is you sing a lot, you pray a lot, and the spirit is very strong.  I literally just study all day. You wake up and study, then breakfast, then gym, then study, then lunch, then study, then dinner, then study, then get ready for bed, then sleep.  And you only have an instructor for 3 of those hours.  There is a lot of being responsible for what you do.

Elder Ballard came and gave a devotional last night.  I am officially motivated to memorize the First Vision.

I love you mom, thank you for teaching how to take care of myself.
